• "Service" refers to all services provided by Rooted Gaia, including but not limited to healing sessions, workshops, guided nature walks, wilderness training, and meditation.

• "User" refers to anyone who visits or interacts with our website or uses our services.

• "Content" refers to all materials, text, images, videos, and other resources provided by Rooted Gaia.

• "Voucher" a bond of a redeemable transaction which is worth a certain monetary value and which may be spent only for specific reasons or on specific goods.

In order to access certain services, you may be required to create a user account. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.

• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.

• Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Eligibility​
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding legal agreement to use the services provided by Rooted Gaia. If you are under 18, you may only use the services with the consent of a parent or guardian.
 
6. Services Provided​
Rooted Gaia offers a variety of services, including but not limited to:

• Guided nature walks

• Reiki healing and services

• Tarot and oracle card readings

• Chakra energy work and balancing

• Wilderness survival training and related activities

• Workshops and meditation in nature

 
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any services or features at any time without notice.​

7. Payment Terms
For certain services, you may be required to make a payment. Payment terms, including pricing, cancellation, and refund policies, will be clearly outlined at the time of booking or purchase.

• All payments must be made through the available payment methods on our website.

• Payments for services are:

  • Non-refundable for group sessions unless otherwise specified (e.g., cancellation due to weather condition).

  • Classes, courses, workshops etc. that are one on one are refundable. See Section 8. Refunds and Cancellations.​

• You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information is accurate and up to date.

 
8. Refunds and Cancellations
If you wish to cancel a service, please note the following refund policy:

• Cancellations made at 48 hours or more before the scheduled session will be refunded in full.

• Cancellations made between 48 to 24 hours before the session will receive a 50% refund.​

• Cancellations made 24 hours or less will not receive a refund.​

 
​Special terms may apply for group bookings, workshops, or events.

9. Intellectual Property
All content on the website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and videos, is the property of Rooted Gaia or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without express written permission.

10. User-Generated Content (UGC)
If you submit content (e.g., reviews, comments, or images) to our website or services, you agree to grant Rooted Gaia a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, distribute, and display such content across our platforms.

We may offer services that involve children. To ensure the safety and privacy of minors, their legal guardian(s) must be present at all times during the service. Written consent from the legal guardian(s) is required for the child to participate.
 
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18 unless we have received explicit, verifiable parental consent. Personal information we may collect includes the child's name, contact details, location, and information related to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual concerns. The legal guardian(s) must provide personal information in the same for us to provide a service to a child under the age of 18. If the child has an email address or cell phone number, the legal guardian(s) must also provide one. If we send emails or texts to the child, the legal guardian(s) will be included as recipients in the email (Cc’d) or in the case of sending texts it will be a group text between the child, legal guardian(s) and Rooted Gaia. It is the legal guardian(s) responsibility to maintain accurate, current, and serviceable information, in all regards, to Rooted Gaia.
 
If you believe that we have unintentionally collected personal information from a child without the proper consent, please contact us immediately. Contact information can be found at the bottom of this page. We will take appropriate steps to delete any such data. Additionally, parents have the right to review, request deletion, or modify the personal information we have collected from their child. Requests can be submitted via email or through our contact form at Contact.

16. Parental Supervision
All services involving children require active supervision by a legal guardian. Guardians are responsible for ensuring that their child’s participation in the service is appropriate and aligned with their specific needs. Our services are not intended to diagnose or treat any health conditions.

17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rooted Gaia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or services. This includes, but is not limited to, any loss of data, profits, or business interruptions.

Rooted Gaia is also not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during the use of our services (e.g., during wilderness activities, hiking, or healing sessions). You participate at your own risk and agree to release Rooted Gaia from any liability.

18. Not a Licensed Therapist or Medical Professional
The services we offer are not intended as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are not licensed therapists, medical doctors, or mental health professionals. If you or your child are experiencing any physical, mental, or emotional health concerns, we strongly recommend seeking professional advice from a qualified healthcare provider.

 

Wilderness First Responder Disclaimer:

The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification received through SOLO Schools is intended for educational purposes only and provides training on how to respond to medical emergencies in remote and outdoor settings. While this training covers critical techniques for assessing and managing medical conditions in the wilderness, it does not make me a licensed healthcare provider or medical professional.

The skills learned during the WFR course are designed to stabilize patients until professional medical help can be reached. In the event of a serious medical emergency, it is essential to seek immediate professional medical assistance. Rooted Gaia or Paul Chepa are not liable for any injuries, damages, or complications that may arise during an outdoor excursion or medical emergency.

By using the knowledge gained from WFR training, participants acknowledge and accept that the proper handling of medical situations relies on good judgment and the availability of emergency services. It is strongly recommended to always have access to proper communication tools and seek professional medical care when needed.

Pediatric & Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Disclaimer:

The Pediatric & Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Certification received through the American Red Cross provides essential life-saving skills for responding to medical emergencies involving both adults and children. While this certification offers practical knowledge in first aid, CPR, and the use of an AED, it is important to note that it does not substitute for medical training or licensed healthcare services.

The skills taught in this course are meant to stabilize individuals in emergency situations until professional medical assistance is available. Rooted Gaia and Paul Chepa are not liable for any injuries, damages, or outcomes that may result from using these techniques in real-life emergencies.

Participants are encouraged to always seek immediate professional medical care and to use the skills learned in this course responsibly and in accordance with current medical guidelines. In any medical emergency, it is crucial to call emergency services and seek professional medical help right away.

By applying the knowledge from the Pediatric & Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, you acknowledge that the ability to effectively respond in an emergency depends on your judgment and the availability of emergency services.

 

Disclaimer for Wilderness Services and Certifications:

The individual, company, organization, or entity paying for Wilderness Services through Rooted Gaia, for Paul Chepa's participation in any excursion in the United States, is not paying for Rooted Gaia or Paul Chepa to utilize their Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or Pediatric & Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certifications during these services. In the event of a medical emergency, Paul Chepa will act as a Good Samaritan and will be protected under the applicable Good Samaritan Laws in the state or country where the emergency occurs.

The mention of these certifications on the Wilderness Services webpage is intended to promote the knowledge and experience gained through obtaining them, showcasing potential availability to use this training. However, Wilderness Services primarily focus on activities such as fire-starting methods (including bow drill), compass usage, navigation, sun-based timekeeping, geological and anthropological information about the area, and more.

These services are not intended to provide medical care, nor do they constitute medical advice. In any emergency situation, professional medical help should be immediately sought.

19. No Medical Advice
The information provided through our services is for informational purposes only. It should not be considered as medical advice. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

20. Scope of Services
Our services are designed to provide support in wellness, personal development, guidance, life coaching, mindfulness, educational workshops, group sessions, community building, emotional support, and stress management techniques but we do not provide professional therapy or medical care. If you or your child require therapy or medical care, please consult a licensed professional. Paul Chepa is not required to place his life in danger to save another.

21. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Rooted Gaia, its affiliates, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these terms, misuse of the website or services, or infringement of the rights of any third party.

22. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms and Service or your use of our services will be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in Indiana or Kentucky (determined by Rooted Gaia), and you agree to waive any right to a trial by jury.
 
23. Termination
Rooted Gaia reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the website or services at any time, with or without cause, if you violate any provision of these Terms and Conditions. Upon termination, your rights to access the services will immediately cease.
 
24. Changes to the Terms
We may update or modify these Terms and Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the updated terms will take effect as of the date they are posted. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

Neither Rooted Gaia nor the User will be held liable for failure to perform their obligations under this agreement due to events beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or strikes.

Rooted Gaia provides its services "as is" and makes no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the services. You agree that:

• Your use of our services is at your own risk.

• We do not guarantee that our services will meet your expectations or that they will be uninterrupted or error-free.

 
Wilderness Activities Disclaimer:
Certain services, including but not limited to wilderness survival training and guided nature walks, carry inherent risks. By engaging in these services, you acknowledge and accept these risks. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally capable of participating in these activities.

Reiki Disclaimer:
Reiki is a complementary energy healing technique intended to promote relaxation, balance, and well-being. It is important to note that Reiki cannot cause harm to any person. The energy channeled during a Reiki session is intended to support the body’s natural healing processes and promote overall wellness.

While Reiki can assist in relieving stress and supporting physical, emotional, and mental well-being, it is not a substitute for medical treatment or psychological therapy. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose, prescribe, or offer medical treatments.
By participating in Reiki sessions, you understand that Reiki is a safe, non-invasive energy healing practice that aims to facilitate positive energy flow. However, as with any complementary therapy, individual experiences may vary, and results are not guaranteed. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider for medical conditions or concerns.

27. Health and Safety Acknowledgment
By booking any physical service (e.g., wilderness activities or wellness sessions), you confirm that you are in good health (mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually) and are capable of participating. You agree to inform Rooted Gaia of any medical conditions or special requirements prior to service delivery. Rooted Gaia is not responsible for any injuries or accidents that may occur during the provision of services.
 
28. Governing Law
These Terms and Service are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana and the laws of the United States, without regard to conflicts of laws principles.

29. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your data to countries with different data protection laws, including the U.S., which may not offer the same level of data protection as your country of residence.
